CODE OF CONDUCT FOR SWIMMERS - COVID 19 RETURNING TO POOL ADDENDUM

Please read the following code of conduct and agree to the code by ticking the electronic box at the bottom of the page. If you are having problems with this please print page, sign and return to comms.bsc@gmail.com
CODE OF CONDUCT - COVID 19 RETURNING TO POOL ADDENDUM AIMS
It remains our primary aim to create a safe, happy, and fun environment in which all members of Barnes Swimming Club (BSC) learn and develop to swim to their full ability. However, in order to effectively manage risk, and to comply with the guidelines issued by the UK Government and Swim England, swimmers will need to behave differently when they return to pool. Therefore, for the duration of the Covid-19 Pandemic, and whilst these government guidelines remain in place, this addendum to the Code of Conduct will apply.

The club’s Welfare and Children Protection Policy, Anti-Bullying Policy, Code of Ethics will remain in force and should be read in conjunction with this policy document.

COACHES AND VOLUNTEER'S RESPONSIBILITIES

During this period, coaches and volunteers will ensure that swimmers:
  • enter the premises at the right times and through the designated entrances
  • follow instructions on hygiene, such as handwashing and sanitising
  • observe appropriate social distancing when static either in or out of the water
  • move around the pool as per specific instructions
  • do not share any equipment or other items including drinking bottles
  • are aware of our amended expectations about training structure

SWIMMER'S RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to our usual expectations of conduct and behaviour, we expect swimmers:
  • to arrive punctually at the pool at the designated time
  • follow instructions on hygiene, such as handwashing and sanitising
  • to maintain appropriate social distance when static either in or out of the water
  • to move around the pool in accordance with the specific instructions given to them by their coaches
  • not to share equipment or other items including drinking bottles

I   ……………………………   agree to abide by the above codes of conduct.
