2. COMMITMENT

Minimum weekly commitment is 3 x pool sessions.
Competitions:Swimmers (from 9 years old onwards) are expected to compete and represent BSC at County Championships, Level 2 & Level 3 Licensed Open Meets, Club Championships, and other Inter Club Swim Leagues.

3. MAXIMUM AGE

4. AIMS AND ASPIRATIONS

In competition, D1 swimmers should aim to achieve County Qualifying Times, medals and finals in the L3 galas, improving their PBs, without specialising any stroke.
The focus of this squad is to work on developing an advanced technique in all four strokes as well as starts and turns, streamline off the wall in training and competition, understanding of sets and more complex training methods, ability to handle 90 minute sessions.
Progression to the Performance Squad (P2) system will be determined by training commitment (more than 50%), work ethic and competitive performance.
Swimmers whose current ambition, commitment or performance does not meet the criteria of P2, can continue their activity with the Junior Development Squad (JPD).

*Any exceptions to the criteria need to be discussed and agreed with the coaches and will be at their discretion.
