- AGM - just a reminder that this is at the Bridge Pub at PM tomorrow night at 7pm
- SPS Summer Festival Sun 30th June - St Paul's are holding their biannual Summer Festival and due to the numbers on site unfortunately all our sessions are cancelled next Sunday 30th June. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
- Summer Timetable - the normal timetable finishes at St Paul's on 7th July. We then go onto school's lockdown hours until the August break. Attached is the Summer timetable from 8th July to 10th August. We understand that during the first few weeks some schools will not have broken up so it will not be an issue if children arrive late for the session as we appreciate it will be difficult for some children to get there for a 3.30pm start. Once the coaches have been finalised the Summer Timetable will go onto the website.
Sessions will run as usual over the half term holiday (Sat 25th to Sun 2nd June) including the Bank Holiday Monday with the exception of Wed 29th where there will be no sessions for P2 and Masters as St Paul's Girls School is shut. Apologies for any inconvenience. P1 to swim at SPS from 6.30-8.30pm on that day.
We have also booked additional time at Crystal Palace which is open to P1 & 2 (shared with Wandsworth SC):
-Tues 28th (9-11)
-Wed 29th (9-11)
-Thurs 30th (9-11)
-Fri 31st (9-11)
St Paul's will be holding a Summer Festival on 30th June so unfortunately all sessions will be cancelled due to the number of people expected onsite on that day. Please put the date in your diary. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Please find attached the Easter Timetable. We have managed to get slightly later swim times than usual during the SPS lockdown period which will hopefully help masters swimmers in particular to attend the sessions.
The live calendar will be updated shortly and the timetable will also go onto the website.
St Paul's shuts on Monday 17th December and reopens on Monday 7th January. The last sessions will be held on Sunday 16th September.
There will be no sessions for D4, D3 and D2 over this period. We have made arrangements for some sessions for D1, masters and the performance squads where we are able to get pool time. Check the live calendar for any update.
We are still waiting for confirmation from Chiswick New Pool for their Thurs night sessions but will let you know if there are any changes.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
Unfortunately there is a problem with the pump at the SPS pool so it will be closed today 12th of November and until the pump can be repaired. At this stage we don't know how long the pool will be closed for but we will update you of progress.
We're sorry for any inconvenience caused. Hopefully the repair won't take too long.
Due to Water Polo London League Tournaments on 15th and 22nd November we have to cancel the Thurs 6.30-7.30pm sessions on those days.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
St Pauls will be holding their annual Christmas Fayre in the Sports Centre on Sunday 25th November so ALL swimming sessions will be cancelled that day.
Apologies for any inconvenience.
Unfortunately St Paul's Girls is closed for maintenance over their half term so there will be no sessions there on 17th and 24th October.
Masters - no sessions 17th and 24th
P1 - swim at SPS 6.30-8.30 on 17th and 24th
P2 - no session 17th. Swim at SPS on 24th
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
P1 22-28th October
Most P1 swimmers are away on the camp. Remaining swimmers to swim with JPD on Monday and P2 on other nights whilst Roxana is away.
We are delighted to let you know that the main event of the year is now open for entry! Our Club Championships take place at St Paul's Boys School, Lonsdale Road, London over 3 days - 5th - 7th October.
This is a fun event for all members of Barnes SC (young & not so young) and is your chance to record licensed times that will allow you to enter other external galas.
Entry is free via Team Unify here. (If you have not received your email to register on Team Unify - see instructions here.) Swimmers should do as many events as they can.
Entry deadline is midnight Tuesday 2nd October.
There will be a penalty for late withdrawals or 'no shows' on the day, of £5 per event. (Late withdrawals are those made after 8am on Thursday 4th October).
We are running 'hot heats' this year as a fun addition to the events and there will be a prize for the swimmer who wins each 'hot heat'.
Finally and importantly, the club is run by volunteers and large events like this cannot be run without parents' help. We need parents to volunteer to help out over the weekend - this can be done through Team Unify very easily, by using the 'Job Sign up' tab next to the 'commitment' tab when you enter the event.
We look forward to seeing you all on 5-7th October!
